Do I need to make an appointment to look around?
No, we welcome all prospective parents – so you are welcome to visit us at anytime. We do
request you avoid between
11am and 2pm when it is
our busy lunch time. Some
of the children also sleep
during this time, so you
may not get a clear idea of
active nursery life.
My child is 3, when are they entitled to receive the Nursery Education Funding?
All 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for the 15 hours of Early Education Funding the school term after their 3rd birthday. Children who are also eligible for 30 hours can be offered a fully funded place at nursery.
All of our nurseries offer various ways in which your child can claim their funded hours. Please speak to management for further information.
Additional charges may be required for meals.
How do I claim 30 hours ‘free’ childcare?

Does my 2 year old
qualify for any funding?
Unlike the 15 hours for 3/4 year old funding, children who qualify for 2 year old funding must meet a certain criteria set by the local authority. If you think you could be eligible for the funding please speak to management.

Do you open for Bank Holidays and holidays?
Busy Bears Nursery is open 51 weeks a year, closing for 1 week over the Christmas holidays and for all Bank Holidays. Fee’s are payable for all bank holidays. We also close for our staff Training Days.
How often do you review your fees?
Our fees are reviewed annually through a structured process. Notice will be given prior to any change.
All parents are asked to pay for nursery fees in advance.
How do I know about my child’s daily routine?
When your child starts at Busy Bears Nursery we will add you to the parentzone App, The best part about app is that it's designed just for parents. Whether you're at work, at home, on the train or on holiday - you will have access to a timeline of daily events, meals your child has eaten, nappy changes, sleep times, observations and assessments including photos and videos of your child's time at nursery. At the end of the day your child's keyperson will also provide you with a overview of your child's day.
Do you take the children out for trips?
Yes on occasion your child may go on trips to the park, museums or other places of interest. These trips will help extend your child’s learning and are well planned in advance. You will always be advised of these trips before they occur
How do I make a complaint?
It’s often best to talk to us first if you have a problem. However we do have a Complaints Policy that outlines the steps you need to take to make a formal complaint. You will also find details of Ofsted’s complaints number on display throughout the nursery
What happens if there is a fire?
Thankfully not something that happens often but in the event of a fire we follow our fire evacuation procedures which we practice once a month. We keep records of these and they are inspected by the Fire Officer at regular intervals. We are able to empty all of the building in under 2 minutes.
